Frozen Tissue Specimens

This resource is available to NDRI-approved researchers only. It requires a username and password. If you have not been approved and would like to review the resource, you must submit an application.

Click here to request an application or click here to access our resource of currently available frozen tissues.

NOTE: NDRI does not routinely "bank" tissues. Our system is driven by the requests of individual investigators, and we normally only procure a specific tissue under the following conditions:

  • Tissue matches an individual investigator's request.
  • Investigator provides confirmation of acceptance at the time the tissue is offered.

Occasionally, normal and diseased human tissues and organs are procured in the absence of an assigned researcher request. NDRI then stores these tissues in the Frozen Tissue Bank until a researcher request for them is received.

NDRI's list of frozen tissues changes daily. Researchers who wish to receive tissues from NDRI's frozen tissue resource must have submitted an application or do so at the time of the request.
